My Work Showcase
I have always felt connected to birds. I used to collect the stuffed Audubon birds, go on bird watches, and was a stout member of the 4 person "Bird Club" that was founded by my sister at the age of 6. I felt the need to showcase this growing love for birds in my art. I used the topic of Birds as my sustained investigation this year. Specifically, I investigated how to depict a bird through the use of line. How one line can depict a bird? Or how can a couple lines reveal an inner personality of a bird? What significance do birds hold in our lives? So, scroll down and accompany me on my quest to explore the nature of a bird as well as all my past art.

Before I did my investigation on Birds, I was experimenting with the concept of the color Yellow. These 8 pieces demonstrate 8 different experiences in my life that personify the color Yellow.

Here are some of my past pieces of art. It was a long journey to get to this year of Birds, but a fruitful one. Many of these have been done in school, out of school, accidentally, on purpose, for a museum, for a class, and for art itself.
